    Bjorn Schipper

    Entertainment law and intellectual property

    Bjorn Schipper was nearly born and raised on the dance floor. He is a dedicated and passionate entertainment lawyer since 2001 specialized in intellectual property. Nicknamed “the nightlife lawyer” by the former Night Mayor of Amsterdam. Bjorn wrote his thesis back in the days on the copyright protection of turntable art and argued on behalf of dance promotors before the Supreme Court of the Netherlands in a landmark case on the fair remuneration for playing commercial phonograms by DJs at dance events (and did play a white label Italo track before the Supreme Court while arguing). He is also one of the founders of ‘The Nightlife Clerks’, an informal network of like-minded professionals serving nightlife culture.

    Experienced and sought-after speaker, panelist, lecturer and host.

    Managing positions: member of the supervisory board Foundation Night Mayor of Amsterdam (N8BM), member of the board Vereniging Nederlandse Poppodia en -Festivals (VNPF), member of the board Foundation Motel Mozaïque (MOMO Rotterdam) and member of the board Foundation Hotmamahot. Past: member of the supervisory board Foundation Streetlab.

    Memberships: the International Association of Entertainment Lawyers (IAEL), the Dutch Copyright Society (VvA) and the Dutch Society on Media and Communication Law (VMC).

    Martijn Diepenhorst

    Administrative law and permits

    Forget about Saul. Martijn Diepenhorst is the go-to lawyer in regard to permits needed for an event or festival. Better call Martijn as he is the counsel to a majority of music events and festivals in the Netherlands, from large to upcoming. He also advises the media on permits needed for the on-site recording of television and film productions, the public access of governmental information and subsidies. Martijn is a no-nonsense and hands-on advisor who serves our clients with dedication when it comes to their legal representation in relation to the government.

    Martijn is a lawyer since 2005 with more than 10 years experience on permits and administrative law proceedings for events, festivals and media. Martijn is working with a large network of specialized and trusted advisors on all imaginable aspects relevant for events and festivals and the application of permits related thereto.

    Als onze Office MC ben jij de backbone van ons kantoor. ‘Drilling’ de eindbazen. Je houdt de boel (en het feestje) draaiende, regelt alles tot in de puntjes en zorgt ervoor dat het team en onze klanten zich helemaal thuis voelen. Of het nu gaat om het organiseren van een belangrijke vergadering, het managen van leveranciers of het ondersteunen van ons juridische team bij een groot festivalproject—jij bent erbij en hebt alles onder controle!

    JOUW SKILLS:

    • Organizer extraordinaire: Van meetings en events tot contracten, inkoop, een bloemetje en fruit voor op kantoor. Jij regelt het allemaal.
    • Client vibes: Jij bent het eerste aanspreekpunt voor onze klanten. Of ze nu binnenwandelen of bellen, jij zorgt voor een warm welkom en een soepele ervaring.
    • Project pro: Ondersteunen bij de dagelijkse praktijk juridische cases, documenten beheren en deadlines bewaken. Jij houdt het overzicht! Daarnaast pak je financiele administratie op en is het een pre als je ervaring hebt met het programma Basened (of een vergelijkbaar programma)
    • Kantoorheld: Jij zorgt ervoor dat alles op kantoor loopt als een geoliede machine. Hebben we iets nodig? Jij weet waar het is of regelt het binnen no-time.
    • Directie driller: Tot slot weet jij ons directie team en de overige legal specialisten met de juiste assertiviteit te ondersteunen, maar ook te drillen wanneer nodig. Met belangrijke deadlines, maar ook met verjaardagslunches en team activiteiten.

    • Je hebt ervaring als Office manager of in een vergelijkbare functie.
    • Je leeft voor organiseren en bent altijd degene die een plan heeft.
    • Affiniteit met muziek, nachtcultuur en festivals is stiekem wel een must; jij voelt je thuis in deze wereld.
    • Je bent handig met technologie en hebt ervaring met de meeste software die op kantoor wordt gebruikt
    • Je kunt multitasken als de beste en laat je niet gek maken door deadlines of plotselinge veranderingen.
    • Je spreekt goed Nederlands en Engels
